Four Things
Since I was tagged by Justin, and I’ve been sitting through a dull lecture on database views, here’s a meme for you.
Four jobs I’ve had:
- Word processor
- I once spent a week handing out mail-in survey postcards to people on the road… most of them weren’t terribly happy about it!
- Car wash worker
- Network design/tech support monkey
Four movies I can watch over and over:
- The Princess Bride (”You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”)
- The Matrix (”How did I beat you?” [Hi,
the_misha!]) - The Lord of the Rings trilogy (”You carry the pants of us all, little one.”)
- Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (”Those are historic babes.”) This one actually doesn’t belong on the list anymore, since I tried to watch it a year or two ago and couldn’t stand it. But in my misspent youth, I probably watched this 25 times… and I can’t think of any other movies to go on this list now.
Four places I’ve lived:
- Sacratomato, California
- Greenville, South Carolina (and don’t you dare try to make me go back!)
- Alameda, California
- Portland, Oregon (and don’t you dare try to make me leave!)
Four TV shows I love:
- Babylon 5
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer
- Angel
- Firefly (sensing a trend here?)
Four places I’ve vacationed:
- Caernarfon, Wales (mmm… cheese…)
- Lake Quinault, Washington
- Death Valley, California
- Vermont (mmm… cheese… and ice cream!)
Four of my favorite dishes:
- Veggie tacos
- Channa masala
- Mushroom, onion & pineapple pizza
- Saba (aka mackerel sushi — can be a bit dicey, but when it’s good, it is SO FREAKIN’ GOOD)
Four sites I visit daily:
- The wiki I keep all my links in
- Backpack
- The web-based RSS reader I’ve started using
- Mister Justin (but soon he shall be RSS-ified, and I won’t have to go there anymore!)
Four places I would rather be right now:
- Wales (mmm… cheese…)
- Sitting comfortably at home writing code
- Bath, England (gorgeous countryside *and* delicious food? I might never leave!)
- Out on my bike somewhere it’s a nice 75 degrees
Four bloggers I am tagging: None. Practice safe blogging — don’t give viral memes to your friends! (=
