Four Things

Since I was tagged by Justin, and I’ve been sitting through a dull lecture on database views, here’s a meme for you.

Four jobs I’ve had:

  1. Word processor
  2. I once spent a week handing out mail-in survey postcards to people on the road… most of them weren’t terribly happy about it!
  3. Car wash worker
  4. Network design/tech support monkey

Four movies I can watch over and over:

  1. The Princess Bride (”You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”)
  2. The Matrix (”How did I beat you?” [Hi, [info]” width=”17″ height=”17″ style=”vertical-align: bottom; border: 0;” /></a><a id=the_misha!])
  3. The Lord of the Rings trilogy (”You carry the pants of us all, little one.”)
  4. Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (”Those are historic babes.”) This one actually doesn’t belong on the list anymore, since I tried to watch it a year or two ago and couldn’t stand it. But in my misspent youth, I probably watched this 25 times… and I can’t think of any other movies to go on this list now.

Four places I’ve lived:

  1. Sacratomato, California
  2. Greenville, South Carolina (and don’t you dare try to make me go back!)
  3. Alameda, California
  4. Portland, Oregon (and don’t you dare try to make me leave!)

Four TV shows I love:

  1. Babylon 5
  2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  3. Angel
  4. Firefly (sensing a trend here?)

Four places I’ve vacationed:

  1. Caernarfon, Wales (mmm… cheese…)
  2. Lake Quinault, Washington
  3. Death Valley, California
  4. Vermont (mmm… cheese… and ice cream!)

Four of my favorite dishes:

  1. Veggie tacos
  2. Channa masala
  3. Mushroom, onion & pineapple pizza
  4. Saba (aka mackerel sushi — can be a bit dicey, but when it’s good, it is SO FREAKIN’ GOOD)

Four sites I visit daily:

  1. The wiki I keep all my links in
  2. Backpack
  3. The web-based RSS reader I’ve started using
  4. Mister Justin (but soon he shall be RSS-ified, and I won’t have to go there anymore!)

Four places I would rather be right now:

  1. Wales (mmm… cheese…)
  2. Sitting comfortably at home writing code
  3. Bath, England (gorgeous countryside *and* delicious food? I might never leave!)
  4. Out on my bike somewhere it’s a nice 75 degrees

Four bloggers I am tagging: None. Practice safe blogging — don’t give viral memes to your friends! (=
