• And one of the coolest tech toys I have *ever* seen, available for under a hundred bucks in DIY hardware (including a Wiimote, which is turning out to be the UberToy for all the cool projects that use it). Check out the video: they seem unnaturally focused on replicating the Microsoft Surface UI, but realize that this is a person manipulating objects on screen by waving his hand around. Just like that scene in Minority Report. I drool.

• I read Accelerando this past weekend. I hope to get around to publishing a longer review of it, but the short version is this: Accelerando is the true sequel to Snow Crash. If you liked that, read this.
